REA Introduces ReelzChannel to Albuquerque

ReelzChannel Debuts in New Mexico
ABQ Journal - April 24, 2009 - By Heather Clark

The privately held ReelzChannel, owned by Hubbard Media Group, will employ about 100 people in Albuquerque, where it has started producing its programming, 80 percent of which is original. It will maintain a bureau in Los Angeles to cover entertainment events. Advertising sales will remain in New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.

ReelzChannel is the latest company to respond to New Mexico's efforts to attract the film and television industry. In the past seven years, more than 115 major film projects including the Oscar-winning "No Country For Old Men" have been produced in the state.

properties that can be had for a song. Do them a favor and inject a little reality into their dreams of market domination. Remind them that distressed properties are called distressed for a reason: Although the term may fit the seller’s frame of mind and circumstance, buyers should realize that such properties often have tenancy and deferred maintenance problems. Fully occupied, class A assets rarely come on the market -- even if the owner has financial problems. And if they do, well, take a number and join the other buyers who are probably willing to offer the asking price, if not more.
